My Character Strengths

1. Gratitude
2. Honesty
3. Kindness

Did you expect these? why/why not?
1. Gratitdue- I expect this because I'm always thankful whatever I get and I always show apprectiation. 
2. Honesty- I would and would not expect this to be honest because it depends what it is about. I'm honest to some stuff but not everything that's why I would and would not expect it.
3. Kindness- I expect this because I have always had kindness in me, when my friends or family or whoever is at there lowest i'll help them any kind of way I can and i'll never leave their side. 
4. Humour- In my own option I would not expect this because when it cames to my humour I get anxiety but I can make people laugh but i'm not good at seeing the funny side of me. My option I don't think I have that side of me!
5. Teamwork - My own option I feel like this could be my strength because I like working with others but only who I want to work with, if anyone needs help I'll help them any way I can but somewhere on the line I don't really have team player and believing people. I know somewhere inside of me I have that team player and believing. 

Why are these important to have?
Gratitdue- Gratitdue is important because it helps people believe and feel positive about themsevles. It makes them happy because they have apprectiaion inside of them!
Honesty -  Honesty is so important to have because being honest can help people believe you more and people see you as someone they can count on. 
3. Kindness - Kindness is one of the most important ones because having that kindness inside of you is always the key to help others to like you and know that they can count on you on anything. 
4. Humour - Humour is important to have inside of you because you always need a little giggle inside of you because if you don't everyone will just think your a sad soul. Having humour is good, it shows that you are not ashamed of anything.
5. Teamwork - Teamwork is important to have because you get to be that team player and you can work towards a goal with others. You have that understanding inside of you to help others to work towards what they are struggling or working from.

We had to choose a popular celebrity like a president or an inspirational person who changed the world and I chose Dame Whina Cooper.I did some research on her about her life from present to where she is at now, and it took awhile to find some interesting things about past life I hope you enjoy.

Types of Governments

Through the past three weeks in Social Studies, we have been focusing on Types Of Government. We had to get into groups and I am with Chloe, Anneleise, Shontae and Kyla, and then had four tasks to complete. We are displaying our presentation on a slide with all of our research and information and I would say it took us six lessons to get this all done. It has been very stressful through all this but overall it was great learning about Governments. I did enjoy this not going to lie but hope next topic will be more better than this one.

Chocolate Cookies

This week for cooking we made some Chocolate Cookies, it look ages as I had the worst group but it's alright it is what it is lol! 

Here is the recipe 

100g butter
1/2 cup chelsea white sugar
1/2 cup chelsea soft brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence 
1 1/2 cups flour 
pibch of salt
1/2 tsp baking  powder
1/2 cups chocolate chips

Method 
Melt butter, and add both saugars and cream these together. Beat in the eggs and vanilla then mix in the dry ingerdients. Roll into the medium sized balls, making sure the mixture is not too wet! put on a well greased baking tray. They shouldn't spread to much so faltten slightly. Bake at 180 for 8-10 minutes.

Tip: You can esily hald this recipe or roll half into a log, wrap in cling flim and frezze. Cut into 15 pieces while still frozen and bake.

I have been foucsing on these 4 women that have done so much for us in the pass! Kate Sheppard, Jacinda Ardern, Dame Whina Copper and Mother Teresa. All those ladys have done so much to this world and I just want to do a little silde show about these 4 women who help this world and how there life journey was like! Wananga - Decade Research Project.

For the past few weeks we have been doing these activities in wananga. We have Wananga everyday half of the time we have it for 2 periods. We have been doing these activities every Wananga lesson. What we have been focusing on is Decade Research Project, we have been researching about a significant event/person/disaster/invention/fashion/music for each decade. I have started to do this but I haven't finished but here are some of the work I have done. It has been really enjoyable for me because I get to learn about new things everyday!

Lockdown Reflection

How was lockdown for you?

- Well lockdown was alright actually because I got to catch on lots of sleep lol and got to eat whenever. Well with the school work I was fine I didn't need any help I knew what I was doing and everything and I like I love working at home because don't get yelled at the teacher or anything like you can finished or do it whehever! I LOVE IT!! In my free time well like always I always go on my phone talk to my friends or family and watch movies on netfilx. When I was bored I ask to do baking with my mum because like I was bored and there was nothing to do! Me and my mum bake about like 5 cakes in one day and it tooks us like 4 hours for all the 5 cakes but overall they were yummy!

But overall I actually had fun at home I wish I could stay home and not go to school AHAHA!

My Bestfriend!

Seen it hti level 3 I have been going to Annelseise house and doing work with her. She lives right next door to me, it's really helpful to have a bestfriend that lives nexts to you because she can help you with anything and just hangout with you when your bored! Me and Anneleise have been doing school together and we have done so much work together! I have some photos that we have take seen we have been hanging out!

I swear me and Anneleise have the best bond! we have been friends for 7 years and I'm so glad I have her in my life!

Going to my Koro's houses

Last week on Saturday I went to see my Koro because I have been missing my Koro so much! Me and my family went to go and see him, we spend 3 hours with him it was a good 3 hours with you. My dad and my Koro and a drink and talk for a long time lol. When isolation finished I'm going to spend a couple nights with him and try and spend have much I can with him because honestly I never know when my Koro will died! I was so happy seeing my Koro and what makes me happy is when I see that smile on his face that makes me smile and happy! I think in 2 weeks time I'll be staying at his house.

After that we went to go and see my sister chels, nan, and my other koro at the urupa, that's what you called grave yard in maori. That's what we say, I have to talk in maori at home something too! It was a good hour with my sister, nan and koro but I did cry though! I really do miss them like my sister I miss her so much, she was my bestfriend! But I'm glad I'm still here, still standing tall for everyone. I'm proud of myself!!! That's what I have done last week.

Hockey Pockey Biscuits

Today this week I made so Hockey Pockey biscuits. I did all by myself, Mum told me to do it because I am always lying in bed lol. This only took me about 15 mintues and another 10 to 15 mintues to cook in oven. I was going to decorate the bscuits but mum had to start making dinner so I just left them. Overall they were pretty good but they did taste like giner lol.

Multiplication 12x12- Maths

Today for my blog post I wanted to do a something realated to maths, I was practicing and memorizing my multiplication from 1 to 12 and did this on a blank table. I did this is like 10 mintues and I tried my personal best so I think that is the best thing! This is my last blog post for this weeks wananga work but I'm looking forward to do more blog post!

Thoughts about the new Kahui!

Today I am doing a blog post about our new kahui space. What are my thoughts? What do I like about it? Well the kahui are actaully really helpful to be honest and like we don't need to walk out of the kahui we can just walk to our other class in the same kahui and I think that's really helpful when like it's cold outside or rain or you just can't be bothered going outside! What my thoughts are that I get bad anxiety when i'm around lots of people and plus when there is to much noise and I don't get my work done I get really bad anxiety and my head gets really sore! What I like about it is that it so clean and not dirty and like I can see my friends in there other class and even if they are a different year of me but hopefully it will look better when it's finisheds!

Acrostic Poem

This week for Wananga I'm teacher has set up some Wananga work so we can do something active learning, we got to pick our own blog post to post about what we just learn work. We have to complete for 3 blog posts end of this week, that's what we have to do every week. My teacher made a google doc with lots of activities and this is the one i pick, Use your name to create an acrostic poem to tell people some interesting things about you. CUPCAKES!! Food Tech

On Tuesday we started making cupcakes! they are really yummy by the way!!! We made the mix and stuff on tuesday and then decorate our cupcakes we made! Everyone in 3 each but one person in our group doesn't like cupcakes so they came it to me!

Whanau walk!

Today my whanau and I went for a big walk around where I live! Our walk was a hour and 35 mintues long! It was a really good walk to be honest! probably going to do it again tomorrow, here are some photo that we took today a long with our walk! Hope you like my photos!

Stress??? Health

What causes Stress?
Stress comes up when you feel like the demands of a situation or event are too much to manage. It can come up with everyday situations, such as:
  • Managing demands at work or school
  • Managing relationships
  • Managing finances
  • Dealing with unfair treatment
  • Managing long-term health problems

What can stress physically do to the body?
  • Stress hormones affect your respiratory and cardiovascular systems. During the stress response, you breathe faster in an effort to quickly distribute oxygen-rich blood to your body.


How does stress affect the 4 areas of wellbeing?
  • Stress affects Taha Tiana with sports and being active and not wanting to go outside and just not being in the mood!
  • Stress affects Taha hinengaro with emotions and your behaviour and how your mood can change just like that!
  • Stress affects Taha Whanau with not wanting to talk to anyone and just being alone and not spending time with whānau, not wanting to do things for them and not get involved with anything! 
  • Stress affects Taha wairua with Spiritual well being expressed through beliefs, values, traditions and practices that support self-awareness and identity.

Separating a Mixture using Evaporation- sciences


Separating a Mixture using Evaporation:

Aim: why you are doing the experiment
Hypothesis: what you think will happen, and why….

Equipment: Copper sulfate solution, 250mL Beaker, heat proof mat, evaporating basin, element.

Method: 
  1. Set up element
  2. Add 100mL of hot water to the beaker and place on the element.
  3. Add copper sulfate to the evaporating basin until it is quarter full.
  4. Carefully, place the the evaporating basin on top of the beaker. 
  5. Turn on the element to 8
  6. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated and crystals of solute are forming. 
  7. Turn off the element- careful not to touch as will be hot for a long time.

Oberservations: In the experiment I saw the blue luqid going to into the water and you could see the water boiling into bubbles.

Health- Taha Whanau- (Fake vs Real Friends)

On Tuesday for health we learning about taha whanau and we were focusing on what is a fake friends vs real friends! Here is my explaintion about Fake friends and Real friends and at the bottom I wrote something both about fake friends and real friends, it's what I think about it.


Fake Vs Real Friends

Real Friends:
They‘ve empathetic 
They respect you and themselves
They enjoy the time of discussion
They call you simply because they miss you 
They help you with anything!
Has your back all the way!


Fake Friends: 
They’ve hurtful
They lose their temper easily 
They insist on winning over
They only find you when they need your help
Talk behind your back
Look at you weird
Use you for money 


Fake friends
In my life I have so many fake friends and Ik who are fake and not! If I could I would list some many people! Well when I can tell who is fake or not, is that when they look at you weird or like they talk behind your back and they don’t tell and then you find out from another person or maybe one of your friends are actually not you friends and actually making you embarrassed to look cool! They use you for money, and they get jealous!! That’s what a fake is! You don’t want those people in your life because they will make your life worse and harder!   


Real Friends
A real friend is that always has your back no matter what happens! They never embarrass you in front of anyone, they make you happy/ makes your life happier! Talk about everything with you and always tell you the truth about everything and don't lie! Compliment your hair, shoes everything you could think of! They get along with your siblings and your parents! Helps you with everythings/ always has your back when you are upset! That’s what kind of friend everyones what’s in their lifes!

Athletics results.

For 3 week we have been looking at Athletics for tomrromw. We have been doing sprints, and high jump, shot put, discus. My favourite thing i like was the discus because that's like the only one I enjoy and actaully know how to do it. 

Last week i did sprints. I did the 15,00m,400m,200m,100m in all one period! I am proud of myself for doing that!

Pizza scrolls- Food techonology,

Last week on friday we made something new we made some pizza scrolls. This is my first time making them and they were actually really good!! I have some steps about how to make the pizza scrolls, hopefully you could learn something on it.

Step 1:Preheat oven to 210°C. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper. Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour into a bowl and then Add the milk. Use a round-bladed knife in a cutting motion to mix until evenly incorporated and the mixture begins to hold together.

Step 2: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead until smooth. Use a lightly floured rolling pin to roll out the dough into a 30 x 40cm rectangle.

Step 3: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 2cm border around the edge. Sprinkle with the cheddar, ham and whatever you want on it. Starting from a long side, roll up firmly to form a log. 

Step 4:Cut crossways into 12 equal portions, about 3cm thick. Place scrolls on the prepared tray. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.


Step 5: then when it's cool it's ready to eat!!
