What causes Stress?
Stress comes up when you feel like the demands of a situation or event are too much to manage. It can come up with everyday situations, such as:
  • Managing demands at work or school

How does stress affect the 4 areas of wellbeing?
  • Stress affects Taha Tiana with sports and being active and not wanting to go outside and just not being in the mood!
  • Stress affects Taha hinengaro with emotions and your behaviour and how your mood can change just like that!
  • Stress affects Taha Whanau with not wanting to talk to anyone and just being alone and not spending time with whānau, not wanting to do things for them and not get involved with anything!

Health- Taha Whanau- (Fake vs Real Friends)

On Tuesday for health we learning about taha whanau and we were focusing on what is a fake friends vs real friends! Here is my explaintion about Fake friends and Real friends and at the bottom I wrote something both about fake friends and real friends, it's what I think about it.

Fake Vs Real Friends

Real Friends:
They‘ve empathetic
They respect you and themselves
They enjoy the time of discussion
They call you simply because they miss you
They help you with anything!
Has your back all the way!

Fake Friends:
They’ve hurtful
They lose their temper easily
They insist on winning over
They only find you when they need your help
Talk behind your back
Look at you weird
Use you for money

Fake friends
In my life I have so many fake friends and Ik who are fake and not! If I could I would list some many people! Well when I can tell who is fake or not, is that when they look at you weird or like they talk behind your back and they don’t tell and then you find out from another person or maybe one of your friends are actually not you friends and actually making you embarrassed to look cool! They use you for money, and they get jealous!! That’s what a fake is! You don’t want those people in your life because they will make your life worse and harder!

Real Friends
A real friend is that always has your back no matter what happens! They never embarrass you in front of anyone, they make you happy/ makes your life happier! Talk about everything with you and always tell you the truth about everything and don't lie! Compliment your hair, shoes everything you could think of! They get along with your siblings and your parents! Helps you with everythings/ always has your back when you are upset! That’s what kind of friend everyones what’s in their lifes!

Food Technology - Savoury Bread Cases

Last Friday in Home Economics, we made some Savoury Bread Cases.

Ingredients:
Butter
White Bread
Brown Bread
Canned Spaghetti
Canned Beans
Grated Cheese

Equipment needed:
Cupcake pan
Bread knife
Small cutting knife
Cutting board

The first thing that we did was to get the bread, we all got two each, one white bread and one brown bread. What we had to do was to cut the sides off, put some butter on one side of it using the bread knife, put the side that had butter on the cupcake pan carefully without pressing the centre of the bread too much. The next thing that we had to do was to put it in the oven for 5 minutes to let it set and for it to be able to hold it's shape. If you are wondering, the oven was set on fan bake and the temperature was 180 Celsius.

While we wait for 5 minutes, we prepared the ingredients that we are going to put on the middle of the bread. We placed each toppings on different small bowls. The different toppings that we had were some canned spaghetti, canned beans, and some grated cheese.

After 5 minutes, we took the bread out from the oven and started placing all the different ingredients on the middle of the bread. After that, we placed it right back to the oven to cook for just about 10 to 15 minutes. One of my teammates started washing while all of us started doing all the other cleaning things that was also needed to be done.

Finally, the bread was finally finished! We got to eat it outside that classroom because we still got a bit more time and finished earlier than we thought we would, especially because it was the first cooking session for Home Technology. The outside of the bread was really crunchy while the middle was so chewy and also had a lot of flavours.

PE Athletics

Today in PE we are learning how to throw a discus and do high jump. First off we did discus first and I learn how to hold it and throw it. About the discus I learn how to hold it you have to hold it like a clock so you're middle finger has to be on the 12 like how there is a 12 on the clock, Then throw it. After that, We did high jump and I did bad at that i think. we had to jump on the max with two hands up and two legs up and then we had to do it again but with one leg up and two hands up. I guess P.E was alright but I just don't like Athletics.

Rainbow paper- Sciences

Today D.S and my class S.H, we did our first experiment but it was only a little experiment. I really enjoy doing this experiment and I really like how the water based pens went up and it was mixing different colours. We was using green and blue but it mixed into a pink and purple, I really like how it did that.

Rainbow Paper

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

 Materials:

  1. Filter paper

  2. Water based felt pens.

  3. Ruler

  4. Cup

  5. Water

  6. pencil

Process:

Step 1: Rule 1 cm on the paper

Step 2: Draw a slight line on the paper and add two dots using the water felt pen.

Step 3: Get the plastic cup and the paper in there with the dots at the bottom but not touching

Step 4: Add a little bit of water

Step 5: Fold the top of the paper

Step 6: Wait and see what happens

This is what happened.

Conclusion: What have I learnt from this experiment?

Today with this experiment I learnt different materials. I just realise that water based felt pens are actually real
thing. Also at the start we only used 2 colours, we used blue and green but in the end it ended up changing
into other colours like pink and purple. I really enjoyed watching the colours smudge together making
different colours, and also was moving in different directions and speeds.

Thinking back to Tuesday's session:

What sport were you presenting ?
S.H yellow was playing netball and we had to make our own skills up but we had to change 2 skills in the netball.

What modifications did your group make, and why?
S.H yellow team we make only 2 skills up here are the skills that we made up.

It's basically just a normal game of netball but before you score a goal you MUST put the ball through your legs ( Chloe will show an example ) Also you can take a step instead of passing straight away. ( Chloe will show an example )

What went well?
Everyone listen and understand what me and Chloe was talking about and we didn't need to yell too.

What would you change?
I would change the skills because i didn't really understand how to do it.

What were the differences between your first and second session?
The first group was a pain because none of them was listening and I just got mad but when we move onto the second group, The second group was amazing because they all listen to my group and we actually got throw a netball game. the first group we didn't even get to play a netball game.

 Reflection: am I a leader ? why/why not?
I think I am a leader because I will understand people when they tell me stuff and I always help other people if they don't know what to do and I do.

Camera angles/Movie

WALT: I can explain a variety of camera angles used to make a movie.

The last couple of weeks we have been trying to make a movie. We had to pick a fairy tale and my group pick the 3 little pigs. In my group their is Chloe, Anneleise, Jaz, Brianna and Rory. I have some camera angles that I would to show you.

 CAMERA ANGLES

  • Over the shoulder - is a shot of someone or something taken from the perspective or camera angle form the shoulder of another person.
  •  Image result for over the shoulder
  • Long shot- long shot is a view from an even greater distance, in which people appear as small dots in the landscape if at all (eg. a shot of New York's skyline). Image result for long shot film
  • Close up- closeup in film making, television production, still photography, and the comic strip medium is a type of shot that tightly frames a person or object.  Image result for close up film
  • Zoom out- Zooming in film making and television production refers to the technique of changing the focal length of a zoom lens.

  • Side shot- The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits. Image result for side short film

These are the camera angles that I used in my movie.
